The studio
In Der Nacht is a photo and video practice based in Brooklyn, working in the hours most cameras avoid: clubs, open-air parties, venues, bars and the artists who play them.
We work in low light without flooding the room, move around the dance floor rather than over it, and deliver fast enough for the post-event story. Every night is catalogued in a numbered archive.
How we work in the room
The floor belongs to the dancers.
Anyone who doesn't want to be photographed isn't. A raised hand is enough.
Removal on request.
Any image with an identifiable face comes down or gets blurred when asked, no questions.
Your house rules apply.
No-photo rooms, stickered phones, booth-only nights: we shoot inside your policy.
